A renowned and respected Early Childhood Education expert, Ron Williams currently serves as the CEO of BJ Wilkerson Memorial Child Development Center, catering to the education of preschool children in the Paterson, New Jersey area. Mr. Williams oversees and directs all day-to-day activities at the preschool, ensuring that the school maintains the highest standards of excellence. His efforts have resulted in BJ Wilkerson attaining national accreditation through the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), and a star rating through Grow New Jersey Kids. The center spans two sites encompassing 300 scholars each school year. Mr. Williams holds a master’s degree in early childhood education from Montclair State University, a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Bloomfield College, and a supervisory management from the Department of Personnel from Rutgers University. Mr. Williams is a certified Family Wellness Instructor at Family Wellness Associates.

His illustrious career, which spans well over 3 decades, includes high-ranking positions at many prestigious organizations. He served as Regional Coordinator for the Department of Law and Public Safety of the Juvenile Justice Commission, where he erected programs throughout the state of New Jersey to reduce the recidivism rate of convicted offenders. He was a Program Supervisor for the Department of Corrections, and Program Supervisor for the Department of Human Resources. In addition to that, he founded Williams Brothers Enterprise, which sponsored a city league lightweight to semi-pro basketball team, Mr. Williams was a coach/player. A talented vocalist, he is the lead singer of the Williams Brothers Singers and collaborates with other artists.

His professional affiliations include but are not limited to various prominent organizations: the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), the National Child Care Association, and the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement. His achievements have been recognized through notable awards from myriad organizations throughout his tenure. He has received accolades from the National Child Care Association, the Office of the Mayor of the City of Paterson, the New Jersey State Senator’s Office, and the City Council of Paterson. He is the proud recipient of the Salute to Men in Education - Harvest of Hope Achievement Award from the Pi Xi Omega Chapter of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority. Mr. Williams was acknowledged as Ambassador of Peace by The Interreligious and International Federation for World Peace.
